The goal of the Agnico Eagle—Eldorado Research Chair in Mineral Exploration is to develop new exploration methods using indicator minerals in order to discover new gold deposits.

The Agnico Eagle—Eldorado Research Chair in Mineral Exploration aims to develop new mineral exploration tools. The chair’s research projects focus on indicator minerals applied towards the mineral exploration of gold deposits. The chair consists of a partnership between NSERC, Agnico-Eagle Mines Limited and the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Quebec. The post-graduate projects associated to the chair are accompanied by competitive research grants.
